I received a pre-approved Ebay masterard offer from Providian. It directed me to a website where I enter the approval code to "accept' the offer. I did so and it gave me a screen that said simply "our apologies". I wonder if this is a denial or if the site is down or what....... Anybody else have this happen to them?
Ii got up the nerve to call on it. I gave her the reservation and product number but she still took a FULL application from me. Everything from my income to amount of my mortgage payment length of time at job and at residence. etc.... I asked her "I thought this was a PRE-APPROVED" offer and she said they offered it based on a preliminary screening but they are going to check my credit to determine if I still qualify for it. I'm guessing it will be a big fat NO!!! Just as well I guess. I mainly wanted it to help my ratios which are quite bad right now.
