Hello. I am new to this whole credit repair thing and I'm wondering if anyone at all is familiar with the credit repair service at www.ecreditgroup.com. Does anyone have any experience with this company. What are some good credit repair companies, other than Lexington? I don't think I have the extra time (I have a 1 year old at home and work full time) or organization skills necessary to take on my own credit repair. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I think you are not giving yourself enough credit to do it yourself. I have 2 kids and work two jobs. Read a little and save yourself that money.
cre8ivegrl, since you seem like superwoman, how do you find the time. I guess you don't sleep at night either. Trust me, I give myself a lot of credit where it's due. I am a very smart and educated woman, but feel like I need to put this in someone elses hands for now. Instead of people telling me that I can do it myself, I would really appreciate experiences with repair companies. As I said before, I am fully aware that I can do it myself. If anyone has experience with any decent and affordable companies, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

lbrown59, thanks for the link, but this is really not what I'm looking for. Trust me, I have suffered and worked my way through so many hard times that you wouldn't believe. You have no idea about my past, so I think that was a little unappropriate. I'm sorry I wasted my time posting here. I appeciate all of you do-it-yourselfers, but I m not one of them when it comes to this. I am not asking for someone to tell me to do it myself. I am asking for people's past experiences with credit repair companies.
You are not going to get anywhere here by being RUDE. This is a credit repair informational site. Most people are here to fix their credit THEM SELVES.Therefore I doubt many people would have experiences with such companies.
I am NOT trying to be rude. i just keep getting these anwers to quesions that I'm not asking. I'm looking for help with companies not someone telling me to do it myself. I'm sorry if you think I'm being rude. Maybe it looks like that in my post, but trust me I'm not. That's the problem with communicating in print; you have no idea of the attitude of the poster.
Re: Re: eCreditgroup.com Okay than ) ....... Your post just comes off as a lil snooty, holier than thou. Did to me anyways. But you have clarified it...... Good Luck!
Re: Re: eCreditgroup.com Honey, I am a black woman from the south, definitely not snooty I have no reason to be. If I were snooty, I probably wouldn't have this credit problem. Surely not hollier than thou, I never mentioned that I was better than anyone or more religious. We are all equal. Sounds like you are the one being rude, because you are judging me.
Re: Re: eCreditgroup.com You are asking about credit repair firms, and the advice you will get here is to do it yourself. Trust me. When I started I used a credit repair firm, so I know what I'm talking about. All a credit repair firm will do is send dispute letters to credit reporting agencies. You will have to order your reports and take the time to forward them to the repair firm. They will write letters to the reporting agencies who will in turn notify YOU of the results. You then have to forward those results to the credit repair firm and they will start the process all over again. Since it is usually about 30-45 days between when they send a dispute letter and you get results, nothing is going on for a month at a time. Now if all you were to do is to write and send the dispute letters yourself, you are not taking up much of your time. You would still have to forward the credit reports and a cover letter to the repair firm every 30-45 days. In the time this would take, since you obviously have a computer, you could write three dispute letters and send them off. The letters are not complicated "You are reporting a collection account from ABC Corp. This account does not belong to me." and you will be saving money in the process. Later if you want to get more advanced there is a whole lot more than disputing that you can do to fix your credit. If you have time to do these things, it's up to you. But trust me it will not take any more time for you to send the disputes yourself than it would to correspond with the credit repair firm each month. Don't hire a credit repair firm.
Re: Re: eCreditgroup.com Many people have had MAJOR PROBLEMS with companies that "REPAIR" credit... INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO... Disputing "GOOD" accounts Sending disputes with spelling errors, punctuation errors, no postage...etc, etc. Disputing the same thing OVER and OVER again (if the CRA doesn't do anything with one account...MOST people just move on and come back to that one later)...the CRO will keep at it until they get "FRIVOLOUS"...then they (CRA) will NOT anything for you for a long time!!! The CRO will get PAID even if they get ZERO RESULTS!!! $4.42 PER CERTIFIED R/R LETTER<----YOUR INVESTMENT FOR YOU DOING IT YOURSELF
Wow! Superwoman? Perhaps that shall be my new title. Supercre8ivegrl. Faster than a CRA dispute, stronger than an OCs resolution, able to leap tall tales from CAs in a single bound..... maybe I do need more sleep.
Aside from the financial and efficiency benefits of "do it yourself", there is a larger benefit that comes when someone obtains the information they need, and learns how to use it. It is called "self empowerment" and the value of THAT is beyond any calculation.
