Does anyone have this card? I shop there quite often. I received a pre-approval for the charge card and was approved when I called in. I know they give money saving certificates all the time even to non credit card customers. Are there other perks for carrying the card? I hope so, that's why I got it. Any input would be appreciated.
endless spam from spiegel and associates. 10 catalogs per week is what i average from those folks. thanks for reminding me to cancel my credit line.
bastages are closed today. I would have cancelled that junk right now if they were open. No credit line increase in 9 months. Still at $400. No point of paying 21% apr these days.
Did they offer you anything to stay as a customer? Did you use the card much? The pre-approval they sent my had 18.9% interest which I was surprised at, being a store card and all. You would think they would have lowered your interest rate and/or raised your limit to keep you.
Sorry Sam, I didn't read your post closely (you haven't called them yet). Actually, you may want to try and contact them. I think they are open. I called this am to complete my application. I then called a couple hours later to a different dept. and was told I was approved. Good luck!! I bet they'll work with you.
dunno i'll post in the thread tomorrow when i close the account. I can't stand all the lame catalogs they send to my place. The mailman probably thinks im gay or something because i get newport news and some other stupid catalogs all the week long..
miles, I received an Spiegel Charge pre-approval offers from the mail two years ago and they pre-appoved up to $825. The Eddie Bauer Charge is same as Spiegel Charge and it is issued by First Conusmers National Bank.They approved me to the max and I had never any problem with them. I haven't used the card that often and they increased credit limit to $1825 after two yrs. You can make payments inside the store. By thwe way, Eddie Bauer Charge can be used in Spiegel, Newport-News,Eddie Buaer and outlet stores. Eddie Buaer didn't have any rewards by using it . Eddie Bauer Rewards Mastercard does and I have the card almost a year. The Mastercard cannot may payment inside the store and You have mailed it in. Both cards has on on-line through fcnb website for checking the balance and when the payment was due. No on-line payment yet offered for the both cards. Ron. Ron.
Sam- I receive a bunch of stupid catalogues too. I was also approved for a Newport News card too. Crazy!! :-D Ron- Thanks for the info. I was also approved for the $825 limit. I am bummed that there are no rewards associated with the card. I thought there would be. I saw some great home stuff I liked. I guess I should have applied for the Mastercard. At any rate, maybe I will recieve advance notice of sales & some coupons to use.
