Has anyone encountered a situation where Equifax has two credit files on the same person, same SSN? Would appreciate any info on how you got this resolved.
yeah it happened to me, its a royal pain in the arse to deal with because the customer service rep when you first cal will SWEAR that there is only 1 file. Tell them you need to speak to a supervisor right off the bat in (i believe) the verification department or something like that. I didnt figure it out until I went to buy a car and tey said they could not get an EFX file. If you lucky like I was when they merge the file inquiries seem to disappear, good luck
