Emerge... need i say more.

    Where the hell is their customer service center located , sounds like the guy was in indochina, I cannot even understand a word he is saying... grrr whats next, the statement in heiroglyphics. all i wanted to do is change the address on a closed acct with a 500 dollar balance.

    Yep, Emerge is in India (customer service 800 number anyway). I was on hold for an hour and a half to close my account last year!

    Then, when I asked to close the account, the rep said:

    "YOU KNOW YOU ARE ABLE RENT DEE CAR WIT THIS CARD, YOU WANT TO RENT DEE CAR, NO?".

    LOL...

    i can tell you im not joking,, i didnt understand a word the rep said, got dosconnected twice while i was on hold, and waited 35 mins when i didnt get disconnected before i got a live non english speaking person...

    It is true, does not matter when you call. Another way to maximize profits I suppose. Customers of Emergecard should have some reasonable expectation of customer service, and this isn't it.

    When the powers that be at Emerge Card looked into the "Service" aspect of customer service, the method with which a bull services a cow is what came to mind.

    I have the crappy eMerge card too. Their collections department still reaches someone in the States. They were able to answer any questions that I had about my account. Try searching this board. I found their phone number in a prior post.

    Pay them off or BT as fast as you can.
    I was a Providian customer and they sold my account to Emerge last year but not before they jacked my rate to a whopping 23.9% and closed it.
    Mind you this was a perfect account, but was a toy card so after I saw this I promptly paid in full.
    Mental note: Never do business with Providian or Emerge again.
