Has anyone actually sued EQ and their erroneous reporting of "unknown lates"? What was the outcome??? Thanks for any info.
I am about to give it a try with CSC. I have disputed and sent many a letter to the OC thinking it was them. Not true. they sent back all the account info for 5 years. The lady said she was having the same problem with CSC and unknown dates. I hit a brick wall with the OC, so now Im off to sue CSC.
My understanding is that EQ simply can only hold 3 dates in their software for consumers -- when you get your actual report in the mail, it has the entire payment history. At least, that's what they told me. I would be ivery interested if it turns out to be disputable...
I disputed the "unknown dates" on a charged off account and they removed the prior payment history from that account. Now when I read my report online, the charged off account reads... 30 days -0,60 days-0 and 90 days -0. So according to Equifax, this account just charged off one day! Im working on another dispute letter right now. S313
That should not be the consumer's problem that they are unable to report more than three times late. When i fact do these "unknown dates" drop off? What is their explaination for an account with a single late, guess what its "unknown"!!!
"I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN LATE ON THAT 'UNKNOWN' DATE BECAUSE I WAS PAID IN FULL, AND DID NOT USE THE CARD THE MONTH BEFORE"
Tried that George, they still magically, mysterically verified all three accounts in dispute along with "unknown late" 3 days before theor time was up.
yeah, here's a dispute they've probably never heard- the account is wrong because I was actually late 4 times, not 3. lol
