I know that EQ's uses CSC Credit Services as a regional affiliate, but have you all who are under the Atlanta office gotten better assistance? I ask because I am considering sending a dispute to the Atlanta office, even though they say that CSC is the servicer for Texas. Would they work it or just send it back? I know this was mentioned in another thread and someone said they got a response that "this is being forwarded to CSC in Houston..." Would EQ in Atlanta have CSC's correspondence notes? Better yet, does any one have a telephone number from the credit report--not the request number--for actual EQ, not CSC? CSC is just impossible to work with; even when an account is wrong and you've got documentation from the creditor saying they should remove all derogs they won't budge. It's ridiculous. The 30 days are ticking, but I thought on a lark I would try the Atlanta office in the meantime. Figure it can't hurt and I might get a sympthetic/competent human. Then again, maybe not. If nothing else, after 30 days I guess I'll get to send my very first correct/delete or get sued letter.
Wouldn't it be to your advantage if they forward the letter, since the 30 starts when they sign for the letter. Ex: Atlanta office signs for letter on 1/10 - forwards it to Houston who gets it on 1/17 - now they only have 23 days to get done what they're normally allowed 30 days. I'm just assuming this, so I could be wrong... GT
mirabelle, I dispute a couple of charge-off accounts in my Equifax and I sent it to Equifax. They sent me a letter and they told me my dispute letter was being forwarded to CSC because CSC took care my credit files where I live. I think you had better directly sent to CSC and it will delay your dispute. CSC will accept your dispute Not Equifax. CSC took care the region of South Texas including Houston,San Antonio,Austin(?).
