This has probably been discussed here but I would like to add anything if it is helpful here. 3 Cap One accounts along with inquirys were changed to Signet bank. Primus car loan (old one) was changed to Jaguar. American Pacific Bank was changed to Household. Has anyone seen or heard anything about American Pacific Bank changing to Household? I opened my American Pacific Bank secured credit card 17.5 months ago. I am a little worried because at the 18 month point it is possible to be eligible for the unsecured card even with a BK(7). Actually as I type this something just occured to me. Maybe American Pacific Bank tells this to its cardholders and at the 17.5 month area they sell the account to Household? Then American Pacific Bank doesn't have to ever unsecure these secured credit card accounts. Any ideas? Has anyone had the American Pacific Bank secured to the 18 month point? I am SO close.
My CAPITAL ONE are still CAPITAL ONE...(INQUIRES AND ACCOUNTS) LAST TIME I GOT REPORTS... I "DID" have a SIGNET account years ago...
Both? That scares me a little. Maybe Cap One is going to sell some of its sub-prime or switch it over to Signet bank. I wonder if anyone that is prime has seen these changes? Or is it just sub-prime changes? Many possibilities here. Maybe Cap One does not like unproducitve customers like myself that do not pay interest? Who knows, hopefully we find out soon!
Just phoned American, talked to Gwen, she says "NO" they have not been bought out by Household, they are their own bank and the TL should read American Pacific Bank unless your account is before 1996. You may have to file a UDF with American to get this corrected. Just last week she had to correct a tl with TU and now she is concerned that something is wrong after getting my call. I've not gotten a new CR as yet, so am waiting to see.......... 1 800 610 1201 ext. 234 Gwen at APB
My TU and EXP still say American Pacific Bank. I tried to get a hold of Gwen today but her machine always got my calls. I would bet it is a EQ problem, Gwen is usually pretty straight forward and honest about how the secured accounts are handled. My favorite thing about AMPB secured is the 1-800-610-1201 ext. 234. It goes straight to her line and you can also leave a message. I'll try to get a hold of her tommorow also.
