EQ:"Complete"--but still disputed?

    I got a letter today from Equifax saying that my investigation was completed but the letter (from June 12th) and PG both still show the disputed items in dispute!

    "Consumer disputes--reinvestigation in progress."

    The investigation was due to be complete by today or so.

    What should I do next?

    Mine did the same thing. It took a couple of days to update. Don't jump into anything, the last thing you want to do is re-stir the pot. Give it a couple of days and it should fall off.

    I have an account like that, been like that for 3 months now. Called Equifax and was told you can't dispute a dispute. I said "I don't want to dispute the dispute, just put the status back." Rep replied "Sir, I realize this is in dispute for more than 30 days, but something is probably wrong, I can put a fraud alert on the file if you like" Proceeded to explain everything again, but they just don't get it. Freaking idiots.

    Dang! It's worse than I thought. EQ updated all six accounts as verified.

    Dang.
