Is it same to assume that if on the dispute page you see an account listed like this: Credit Grantor: Bank of America Account #: 4356190013234**** -- This item does not belong to me. -- I have never paid this account late. Tthis is an indication that there is a late notation somewhere? On all other accounts I never see this unless the account has actually been late before.
Yes, that means that the account is somehow being marked as late (sometimes it will even say 00-00-00 indicating 0 times 30 days late, 60 and 90) really stupid, but having any value in there, even 0, counts against you.
Here is a link to it. Just enter the confirmation code that you were given when you entered the dispute and it will either list your report accounts (which means that the investigations is complete) or it will give the date the investigation started and the anticipated finish date (which means that its still being worked on).
it just showed the 00-00-00 using consumerinfo.com, but using Equifax's on-line view, you didn't see them. btw, consumerinfo has just updated their ui, and you can get updated reports instantly. For an additional fee, you can also add the creditXpert score (the fee is for each report you want the score for).
Dear Love, Just to clarify, are those YOUR reasons for dispute? Why would you pay an account on time that "does not belong to you"? Advise,
Oh I see what you are asking...on the dispute page, the DROP DOWN bar has "Never Late" as an option. She is asking, "since that option exists (and does not exist on her other accounts), does that mean Equifax has a notation on that account somewhere that marks it as being "late"? I would say that on the hard copy, if the account is R1 than you are ok...and it would be some kind of glitch on the Eq dispute system. But if you DO NOT see that option for all your other accounts, that would be odd. I will have to try and enter a dispute when I get home and see what options I have for my accounts...I will let you know. -Peace, Dave
