You know what, after reading many messages on this board I thought nothing can surprise me any more, but this one is just amazing.

DH sent a dispute to EQ about a month ago, disputing one real esate tradeline (was refinanced, EQ was still reporting a balance) and one old installment loan (was closed, EQ was still reporting as open and with balance).

I log in to CreditWatch today and what do I see? 7 new tradelines. They updated the real estate mortgage to show as closed as of 5\2003. All fine. And also they have produced 6 tradelines that have 'last reported' date as of 5\2002 and 6\2002.

So I went back in my paperwork and lo and behold, we sent a dispute for all the 6 accounts.......in March 2002!

It literally looks like they finally processed the dispute and just backdated the entries. LOL. Some timing.

I pulled DH's cr from EQ right now and of course, the mortgage is showing as closed by consumer, but with the incorrect balance. Another dispute coming, I guess.

Welcome to the Club of the Shocked Mutes LOL.

I would be about ready to stop looking at the reports for a while, but we have a possible move to the US looming, thus probaby we will be forced to buy a house. So, no rest for now.

Oh, you want another cookie to add to the pile? DH's score went down from 636 to 628 with these disputes.

Let me add one for ya...

I disputed 3 EQ/CSC accts last Friday online. They weren't marked in dispute still. Today I pulled a report through CW. Guess what? All 3 accounts were noted as "Consumer says this account is not his/hers." I NEVER SAID THAT!!! I disputed specific details about each of the TL's. I called them as soon as I saw this. The rep was so nice and explained that I disputed these TL's before--once in 3/03 and once in 12/02. Yes, and? Per the rep, someone at EQF took it upon themselves to add this statement because the accounts were still reporting the same. I said "Take it off now!" She said "Okay, no problem." What a joke. The dispute, per the rep, still is not showing up on their system. Once they get the PRINTED COPY of my online dispute, they will handkey it into their system. She said that the dept stays pretty backed up, so it takes anywhere from 10-14 days to get entered. No wonder they don't give you a date or a confirmation. I printed out the page. Their 30 day clock has been ticking for 5 days in my book!

They reinserted previously deleted tradelines? Were they good or bad?

    jlynn,

They didn't reinsert anything, they just updated the tradelines that were there and they were all good with no lates.

    Beats me...
