I have no idea how this happen but I will take what I can get... LOL my eq score is a whopping 573..... "happy Dance" LOL
Geez. I got a utility chargeoff from 1998 removed and my score bounced one point. Wonder why I fought so hard.
Gotta love it! EQ, being the most cooperative CRA (for me anyways!), was the first to delete my tax lien. It was obtained 3/93 and had been listed as unpaid. I had to request a new release from Colorado and they dated the release 5/02 and refused to change it, but sent me a letter detailing that it was paid 8/95 and the first release 1/96 went to the wrong address. It increased my score a whopping 3 points!!!! now I am 692 (went down to 689 when inq hit). Experian didn't have the lien until the release was filed. Go figure! Now get this.. the CSR told me that the only remove liens 7 years after date of release (not payment) as a COURTESY (huh?!) and that liens stay on forever otherwise. I read the law to this imbecile and she told me I was wrong! Refused to give me a last name, employee number, name or number of a supervisor/manager. TU stated that their policy was 7 years after release. I read the law. The nimrod there told me that it didn't matter! Their POLICY was date of release!!! Good Lord!
