EQ and Date of Last Activity Question The Dates of Last Activity on all ten of my accounts are incorrect. I filed Chap 7 last year. Can I expect anything other than a generic "verified" letter from them if I dispute these? Is there a better way to approach them about the incorrect dates? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Re: EQ and Date of Last Activity Question With Experian and Trans Union the date you want to worry about is the "Date of status" With Equifax it is the "date of last activity" Ideally this date should be the same as the month you filed for bankruptcy. I would start by calling up the credit bureaus and asking them to fix it. What date is the bankruptcy listing itself showing as on your three reports?
