Thanks - I think I might include something like that. However I Have a feeling that I am once again going to be denied and they will state "collections," again. Total BS and very frustrating. I made copies of the letter im mailing to them, as well as the credit report im sending them.

    FINALLY FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Finally got CSC On the phone and FOUND THE PROBLEM! Those idiots put the two collections which are named in a family members name, on my social security number. She said the two files have the same social and thats why the Creditor is getting two merged reported including the collections! GRRRRR! She said I have to mail them a copy of my drivers license and social security card and they have 30 days to investigae. I said and they'll be removed from MY social right, she said I dont see why not it's a pretty clear ordeal. Hopefully they do it without giving me a problem!!! Glad I pulled that letter to Amex out of the mailabox before the mail ran, will wait to mail , til after these are removed. once removed they have to send me a updated copy of my credit report and a letter , right ? Thanks!

Don't expect much of a letter. They should also send a copy to Amex, thus avoiding yet another inquiry before you're approved.

Great Job Eric. Persistence pay off.

Thanks! Do you think I should expect much a fight or do you think they'll remove them pretty easily ? The rep. from CSC repeatedly asked me if I went by any other names. I told her no, because I dont but my father , brother and I share similar names. She than told me a collection was on my report under the name xxxxxx xxxxxx, showing my social security number. I told her that was a family member of mine, but not me. I mailed them the copy of my drivers license and social security card today, I know they have 30 days and I bet they use every bit of it. The weird thing about this is that all the times I've pulled my report online and received them by mail it's never showed up. I guess that's sort of a good thing, but its bad once again because it was showing to creditors obviously. Once this is straigtened out (and I expect it to be in 35 days or less) Amex better not find another reason to deny me. The rep. from Amex did say that this was the only reason I was being denied, we'll see about that I suppose.

Isint reporting inaccurate information a violation of the FCRA ?

Today I received the denail letter from amex for their reconsideration. This time in the letter they cite the reason for denial

Well Only reason is these bogus collections which best come off, after they do I'll call amex and request that they pull another copy. Of course I'll make sure the collections are off still. Than amex better not deny me for "too many inquires" after all the only recent ones are from Their company!

Today on my credit report there are Two inquires from CSC.

    09/26/2002 CSC Consumer Disclosure

    09/26/2002 CSC Consumer Reinvest

So I guess this means that CSC received my letter and the info they requested and are investigating. Do they have 30 days from todays date, or 30 days from the date I mailed the letter ? Thanks!

Yes, that means they have recieved and started you dispute. However, it doesn't actually mean that you have to start the 30 days from then. The moment they recieve your dispute the clock starts. I sent a dispute they recieved it and it was seven days later that I got the "consumer reinvestigation" inquiry. Good Luck

The disputed collections are not currently reporting on your CSC Credit Report. Blah Blah Blah ..... Not currently reporting, those bogus collections better not ever report again! Also the bumpage online also shows in this mailed version so those inquires are GONE. Thought I"d share, thanks for the help!
