This is very strange. An account I disputed back in July/Aug, and which was "verified" in a very short time, is all of a sudden showing up back in dispute on my credit report -- without me doing anything? This time, rather than the usual "Consumer disputes - reinvestigation in process" it states "CONSUMER DISPUTES THIS ACCOUNT INFORMATION" I am wondering, did the OC post that language to my file cause they are finally working on the disputed item? Or is EQ working on rebuilding my file from tapes? (I have found my file in a time-warped state once before). UPDATE: Found same item in dispute on my EX report without my doing anything.
I am having a similar problem to this (I posted a ? earlier this evening). I contacted both EQ and Bank of America re: deleting the negative payment history from my account. EQ sent a letter staing the payment history would be deleted from my account, but BOA sent another letter stating that they could not remove any info unless it was incorrect. The letter was sent to me more than 30 days following my letter...what is the protocol there? Can they add it back to the acct?
