Disputed some inquiries with equifax and got an email back from Mrs.Banks She said I need to provide her with fraud documents to have them removed. What should I do they are legit inquiries.

Did you mention fraud in your disputes? I'm a firm believer that you should never cry fraud unless it's absolutely true.

If you didn't mention fraud and that's the response you got, then it's a bluff. Just write them back and tell them that the inquiries have no permissible purpose and you're not obligated to prove a negative--the company who pulled is the one under obligation to prove there was permissible. Also, bring to her attention the fact that as a CRA EQ has an obligation to prevent forseeable injury to by not giving out your report to any who asks without permissible purpose.

If you did mention fraud, I think you need to back pedal on this and spin the fraud thing into fraud on the part of the companies who pulled because they mislead you as to what was involved in the application.

If you can't back pedal in that way, I'm not sure what you can do about this other than to run away and live to fight another day.

Keep in mind if you don't push this through those inquiries may stick like glue until they naturally age off.
