That they have two files on me. Aint that something. I called them and told them about my online problem. The rep put me on hold for what seemed like 2 hours and came back and told me that they had 2 files on me and that her supervisor would work on deleting one of them.

Wow after all that and even after the house! That's a really amazing story to have watched your battles and then to discover all this time there were duplicate files. Shazam.

Do you have any clue how or why? Did someone mistype the SS# or something?

Anyway, I am glad you finally got an answer as to why you had these odd scores for clean reports and denials for your good credit. Congratulations, Roni.

I just pulled my equifax report and file online tonight and it shows the 'correct' report. "smiles". My score is lower than i wanted though: 641 but it is better than the 545 it was yesterday. I hope that terrible report w/o my deletions is gone forever. thanks for listening. Now on to transunion......................

According to my CSC report, I have two files as well. However, when I pressed the rep today on the telephone, she said she couldn't find another file. I also have an alias name on my report that is made up of my middle initial as the first name, and my last name is part of my last name and first name combined. So dumb. She explained to me that I "must have applied for credit using this name..." No way, jose. (or ho as I wanted to call her). Anyway!

I doubt it Roni because I thought the problem was resolved a few months back and then the bad report reared its ugly head and I started getting denied. I think it begins to kick in if you start applying for numerous cards or have a few inquiries in a short time span. I have the Legal Dept. working on mine now and I am praying they will resolve it once and for all. It is rather worrisome to think that there two files and the other file has derogs that were investigated and deleted, I am almost tempted to think its by design. Why couldn't the other file have no derogs and it sounds like you have a similar situation like me, where one good file pops up to some creditors and the bad file pops up with others. I would definitely like to know this happens.

    Good Luck!

    Cypri:)
