These people sent me a credit report and no confirmation number on the report. Of course I can't get through on the phone without the number. Anyone have any suggestions. I have cleaned up my experian and am now working on my euifax and TU.

    Equifax sucks, yes, indeed

Was this report sent b/c of a dispute?

I was denied a cc and needed a report. But it doesn't have a number anywhere. I guess i will have to re-order. The man seems to have his foot on me again

Annie, the reports sent by CSC, an Equifax affiliate, have no file or confirmation number. I imagine other affiliates may be the same way.

Are you saying you can't get through to a live person without a number? Did you try pressing zero to get out of the automated phone system? What about a menu option to talk to someone?

Assuming you can get a live person, just give them your name and SSN, and verify your address, etc. They will be able to look your file up and 'verify' your identity.

If you are just going to mail a dispute then they only need your name, SSN, and address anyway.

Just saw your response, when i call the number, it asks for a confirmation number. I kept hitting zero and it disconnected me. I am going to ask for another report, just denied a credit increase from Dillards.
