Equifax/Certegy

    I disputed a check Certegy claims I did not pay (on older checking account) on 4/21. I requested validation via fax pursuant to FDCPA.

    On 4/29 my Credit from csc/eq shows no reference.

    However I pulled a report though Privista today and it is reported as CHARGE-off from Equifax Check services.

    I know this is a violation but I have no idea what to do now.

    Please any help would be appreciated.

    Keep following the validation route to build a paper trail. Find a post by Lbbrown59. He has a link in all his posts to a great thread entitled "What is Validation".

    I'm not sure what the issues is, but FYI, Equifax Check Services became Certegy.

    Who did you send the Val.L. too and when did they receive iT?

    Issue is
    Val. an alledged bounced check
