I am trying the 30-day freebie, and thought it was supposed to be unlimited access, but can only get one report every 24 hours, and no new score since the first day. Am I doing something wrong? I did place a few items in dispute. Does this keep me from obtaining a revised score, which I thought takes the disputed items out of the mix until they're resolved?
You can get a new report every 24 hours, but can view the older reports at any time. Info on reports does not change as often as you might think. Only when monthly updates are done, when an inquiry is made, or, when you start a dispute. As far as the score goes, it will only change when something being reported changes. If you put something in dispute, your next report should reflect this and, if the disputed items aren't extremely old, should see some sort of score increase.
I did dispute a few things, but when I try to access a new score, all I can obtain in the original one that I got the day I signed up. It does allow me to pull a new report each day, but with no score whatsoever, and nothing to click on to get a score. Is that the way it's supposed to work?
Each time you pull a new report, you should be able to obtain a new score as well. However, that does not mean your score will be different from what it was the day before (or the last time you pulled your report). Folks have said by placing items in dispute (on EQ only) they have received a bump in their score. However, when I had creditwatch and I placed a collection account in dispute, and pulled my score the following day, it remained the same; so it may not change for everyone.
I have a question. I signed up for credit watch and in the last week I have received 5 credit alerts. I am at this point very pleased with their service, but once the trail period is up do they then stop being as good? Would like to know so I can cancel before time limit runs out.
