AT&T Wireless sent Equifax an update of my closed account status. I learned today the account has been deleted and my report updated to show this!

AT&T Wireless told me that they sent the update electronically on March 2. The dispute case was scheduled to be closed by Equifax March 22.

AT&T Wireless was a good account for me. It's in good standing. The disupute was on the last day of activity.

I have disputed this account several times. I think Equifax just gave up on it. They burned me on purpose. At least that is the way it seems.

Any thoughts on a course of action to get Equifax to put AT&T Wireless back on my report?

I will ask them to. But before I do, I wanted input from board members. Maybe a lawsuit is the only way. I don't know.

I'm just curious as to why you would dispute the dola on a positive acct? Did AT&T send you a copy of the update they sent to equifax? Maybe it was AT&T that told them to remove it. In any event, I agree, that if you call equifax, tell them the account itself was not disputed, just the date, so put it back on.

that's wierd. I had AT&T wireless for 3 years before switching to another carrier and they never once reported my account to any of the 3 cra's. Do they normally report to cra's? Do any carriers report?
