I sent in several disputes to equifax(CSC Houston) about a month and 1 week ago. I haven't recieved a thing from them other than a letter that stated they were investigating. Should I send another letter to them or call them and find out what the hell is going on? They sure do take their sweet time. Thanks
I would give it another week or so, as long as you heard they were put into the system (letter you received saying they items were "in dispute") then they will get back to you with the results. When did you receive the letter? That date is the date you should give them 30-45 days to respond. TU actually sent me confirmation with dates telling me when I should expect results. Experian confirmation simply said items were "in dispute". So far I have never received a confirmation letter from my Equifax disputes. I had a similar problem with Equifax, only as I said I had no such letter. I later found out that my disputes were NEVER entered into the system. After I re-disputed I called to make certain I had the accounts "in dispute". It took 45 days before I heard anything from the results. Next round I received results back in almost exactly 30 days...so sometimes you get it faster, others it takes a little longer. -Peace, Dave
