I just got Equifax's results for my father's credit report: 5 deletions (1 pos and 4 negs) and 6 came back verified. That's pretty good considering it is the first round with them and it was conducted through Equifax's online investigation. For the next round, I will move on to the more detailed letter format. On a better note, thanks to my newly cleaned file, I just got approved for a Best Buy credit card with a $1100 limit.
It's funny because when I count all the Equifax-update and Equifax-disclosure inquiries on my file over the past 2 years, it numbers around 30 altogether. I figured Equifax got tired of losing money on my file considering all I did was dispute with them costing them money, putting a promotional block on my file and making no hard inquiries. Now that they have given in, I have taken the promotional block off and have made 3 hard inquiries all of which have come back approved.
