I just received an alert from Credit Watch (EQ) stating I had an update on my report.

So, I go to the website and the status of one of my tradelines changed from "Customer Disputes-Reinvestigation in Process" to "Customer Disputes-Reinvestigation in Process/Collection Account".

What does this mean, or am I just overreacting?? (I may just be trying to read between the lines when there isn't anything there).

Best thing to do is take the report# you requested that particular investigation on, and go to experian's website...go to request investigation, and enter your report#...then check that particular item (if they updated, it will reflect as updated 2/02 or 3/02)

Yes it was a collection account. And I have no idea what the collection account is for...never received any collection letters from them or anything. I truly believe that this one is an error.

If the account was already listed as a collection in the derogatory accounts section, I don't think the change in the labeling of the disputed account would then matter.

Okay thanks. Just a little paranoia I guess. I'll wait out the investigation andlet you know what they find.
