Ive sent several disputes over the last couple months to equifax... On accounts that werent mine... Only two accounts out of 5 have been deleted but the rest have a stupid notation consumer disputes this item.... Some of the accounts that report this are from stuff i disputed in april... How long will this notation be there and why dont they just delete???
Dear Neo, Have you received any mail about these accounts? You need to call them and remind them that they have 30 days not 30 weeks. If necessary quote law. Don't take any of their crap. Make her/him delete while you're on the phone. Record the call if you can. Good luck and keep us posted.
I may be wrong, but I think that's the OC or the CA's notice that you dispute this item... not your dispute with Equifax.... Mommy2cats
I have the same issue. I disputed some accounts and they remained and so did the notation that they are 'under dispute'. And I know that the OC did not add that notation b/c I never disputed it directly with the OC, CA, etc...just the CRA.
nope never got any mail from oc or ca... This was just my dispute... One account is showing a 0 balance on a closed credit card from 97 but the cra is reporting 197.00 past due... how can they show this consumer disputes this item for 60 days now....
They are using either the 'CYA method' or is are too lazy to remove the notation after the investigation is finished. Maybe both...
----------------------------------------------------------One account is showing a 0 balance on a closed credit card from 97 but the cra is reporting 197.00 past due... ---------------------------------------------------------- You may try disputing like this: How did you arrive at the conclusion that this account is reported 100%correctly with a past due of $197.00 while the balance is ZERO. Delete this now.
why dont they just delete??? ============================= Keep it wrong make a song.Make it right moneys tight.
Ive sent several disputes over the last couple months to equifax... On accounts that weren't mine... Wouldn't They have a better chance of getting their money from the right party.? Swifter than an up hill stream aren't they?
