Got a letter today from the Federal judge instructing both parties to begin discovery and put together a timeline for trial duration. Talked to an attorney friend and he said it was a good sign. Federal judges a re notoriously tough on Pro Se litigants and will look for some reason to dismiss your case right off. So I called Equifax's bluff and let the fight begin. My request for production of documents is 4 pages long. I have an attorney hired on a per diem basis. He helps me with the legal mumbo jumbo and what to file when. Federal court is very particular about what motions need to be filed when and in what format. His bet is that after the request for documents and the obligatory Subpoena to Produce in 30 days Equifax will fold. We will see.
