5 days ago, I had 41 hard inquiries on my equifax report. I used this method posted by Collectman, and I just updated my report I now have 9 inquiries- thats right- 32 inquiries deleted in 5 days....AND my equifax score went up 50 points!! THANK YOU Collectman!!! https://www.econsumer.equifax.com/co...online_dispute If you enter your zip code and click on next, a link towards the top will say, if you dont have a confirmation/report number, click here. Click on that link fill out all the personal information and then instead of creditor name, put in the inquiry name, for account number put down the inquiry date, and reason, not mine. I have used this on a couple car loan inquiries and they were removed in a few days.
I just tried it on 22 Hard pulls on my wifes report and 15 on mine...I'll let report back to everyone with what happens.
I can attest that this does work.I kept the hards associated with active tradelines. They removed everything else and mailed my new report.
joe, this is just something equifax is doing.Transunion you will need to bump off and Experian will require an affidavit from God witnessed by Satan and notarized by Saint Pete!LOL
I've just given this a try - just hitting the ones that don't have a correlating account on file. Has anyone tried it with an inquiry that is directly associated with a new account? I was tempted to float one by to see if it worked, but didn't in case it jeopardized the others.
Now I am down to 3 inquiries. They are TLs from my CR however....I'll take 3 inquiries over 41 ANYDAY!!
Using Collectman's method, I have successfully removed 5 inquiries from Equifax. None of the 5 were related to existing tradelines.
I am adding a slightly different result here. I have disputed all three that were on Equifax along with one 30d-late online using Cleectman's method. It was on 27th PDT or 28th on EQ time that I initiated this, and through TrueCredit I was able to see the all three inquiries gone tonight after 8 days. I disputed the one that occured upon CLI request on my existing credit card account. It certainly is gone. I still don't know (or can find answer as to) whether I can dispute multiple, like 8, inquiries at the same time.. Moreover, does anyone know if you have to have a report or confirmation number at least in order to place disputes using this method because their wording is a bit confusing to me? Or it'd be good to see if disputes are as effectly processed with Free annual report..
You don't need a report number to do this. I blew 6 off my report and am still shaking my head. How can Equifax be so dumb?
Just to save others the need to find out Collectman's trick, here's the link to his post: http://consumers.creditnet.com/Discussions/credit-talk/t-deleting-inquiries-from-eq-66128.html I just tried it so we'll see what happens.
Wow, knocked of 7 out of 15 in 2 days. The rest were tied to tradelines. "FAKO" score went up 8 points as a result. Not bad.
