I sent them a dispute letter disputing Circuit City and Wells Fargo Charge offs. They only reinvestigated the Circuit City (It got deleted) But, I guess they didnt read the Wells Fargo part. I did not receive a notice back that they found the dispute frivolous. It is not even showing consumer disputes! I sent the same notice to exp and tu. Tu deleted both. Exp has deleted Circuit city the Wells is still pending. Thirty days is up tomorrow.

How do you guys suggest I approach equifax on this. I am inclined to send A friendly letter along with a copy of the original dispute to them. What do you guys think?

The same thing happened to me, twice. Once w/ eq, once w/ TU. I just redisputed, like nothing ever happened. Still waiting to hear, so I'll let you know!!

I had this happen with Equifax too! Obviously they don't hire competent people to do their work or read very well. Mine were all highlighted for them and they still screwed up! When I called it didn't do any good whatsoever! They would only reinvestigate the dispute and not aknowledge their fault of not investigating it in the first place despite my stating to them that I had a copy of the original letter and signed receipt stating they received such. Since 30 days had passed and they did not investigate my dispute per the FCRA I then demanded it be deleted to which she refused to do so. I then stated they obviously don't comply with the law and she said "Yes we do comply fully with all laws...." I stated then how do you explain this??? She said "it must have been overlooked" I said good then delete for your mistakes not mine!! She again refused.....I sent a letter to their consumer affairs and they responded that they are starting the investigation even though I wrote I didn't want them to investigate I wanted them to delete! Basically you could have them re-investigate it again or sue them. I think thats the only way you will ever get Equifax or any other CRA to comply with the law.
