I called equifax this morning to have them remove an old address. They gave me a confirmation number for an investigation. They are going to investigate my previous address ( I moved 5 months ago) with two existing creditors to see if they ever reported using that address. CR*P, *&@#$(#*$& LOL

From what I read, it was easy to dispute. Just call and they will remove it.

    NOW WHAT?

I have one derog on Equifax.... I'm completely clean on the other 2.

    Any suggestions?

They must be on to us or they are bs-ing you.

How will removing the addresses help? Are you trying to get rid of public records?

Yes, and from what I read here, its an easy way. I may just have to get the official docs from the courthouse and let someone here review them. Funny thing, is that TU and EX removed them the first time I asked.

    Probably a bluff Burnit.

No choice now but to wait it out to see what happens.

Equifax told my DH the same thing this past week and when I pulled his report today, I mean when he pulled his report today *lol*, the addresses were corrected as requested.
Yet I have been battling them for a few months to fix mine.
My DH said he thinks his was corrected because he was flirty with the customer service rep over her "nice" voice for such a cruddy job dealing with problems all the time.

You wouldn't by chance be in an EQ affiliate like CSC. They do put two TL's into investigation when you dispute old addresses.

They were bluffing. I received an updated credit report dated 4/25/03, the day I requested it, with the deleted addresss. Goodbye judgment, goodbye screwed up equifax......hello better credit score. WOOHOO

How long should I wait to dispute the judgment? They just removed the previous address, with the judgment on 4/25?

Should I wait? Should I zap it now?

The only person who can VERIFY where I have lived or live is me!!!

How can a CREDIT CARD/LOAN COMPANY verify where I live???

Did they come to my front door??? NO!!!

FLEET is the one who made me move my house to the FLOOD CONTROL CHANNEL!!!
FLEET is the one who "TOLD" the CRA'S where I moved to...
...BUT THE COUNTY SAID I CAN'T MOVE MY HOUSE!!! FLOOD CONTROL CHANNELS ARE NOT ZONED FOR HOUSES!!! SO I HAD TO MOVE IT BACK!!!

They moved your house to a flood control channel? And then, I guess, offered to sell you flood insurance.

I think this is another instance of UYGF.
