I just recently received a memo in the mail from equifax refusing to re-investigate 3 items I disputed. They stated that they look back 9 months and if these items were ever disputed within this time period, then they will not re-dispute. Is this right? I called twice and rec'd the same answer. This is a local EQ.
That's not what the law says. If they label it as frivolous, that's different. Otherwise you can dispute as much as you want.
With their response they included their dispute form that goes out to the vendors. The vendor simply puts a check next to your name and ss# and address , signs and dates it, and sends it back. Evidently this means they verified it??? And they refuse to look at it again for 9 months. Does anyone know what letter I should use to address this??
