I sent Equifax a nasty letter within the last couple weeks requesting an investigation in some "unauthorized inquiries". They removed each inquiry I disputed! Hot diggy Dang!
"Equifax is AWESOME" appears as often as "Man bites dog!" - got my curiousity. I really do think there's a counter-CHOD factor here. My latest online disputes w/EXP and EQ have happened overnight. Whew! That may be the underlying reason for high numbers of frivalous rejections - get through those disputes ASAP!
Equifax is awesome now but wait until they start jerking you around with your disputes then they become much less awesome. Congrats on the deletion of the inquiries!
hey Kev... I had the same result a couple months ago. Each one GONE! Either were on to something or we got the same data entry/decision clerk! either way awesome! fweem!
Every CRA is awesome, until they screw up your credit file... Eq has actually been fairly good, until now they are being a major pain in the posterior about not manually verifying an account where the OC was forced to settle with the FTC on fraud, who is reporting that the account was 91-120 days in the first month that the account was opened, and they responded to the last verification that they verified that everything was reported correctly. I just had to have them update my b-day because they screwed that up. Just remember that every CRA has good, and bad traits, and that eventually no matter how awesome you think they are this very minute, eventually you'll want to see them next to you in court.
