I have a discharged 13, in october I sent them a letter telling them to put discharge next to it. they did, but 3 weeks later for no reason they took the wording off, now they sent me a letter stating I must send them paperwork proving it, what should my reply be.?
This my be a dumb question, but what is discharge and why would you put that in your file? **Dimples** Still Learning
You could send them the paperwork, but I wouldn't. I would send a strongly worded letter, advising them it is THEIR responsibility to investigate incorrectly reported items, not yours. Send it certified, R/R - always have a paper trail.
Oh, I just had a thought - Mail copies of the documents to them. Enclose a bill for the charge of the copies, and consulting services. Give them 15 days to submit payment. If they don't send payment - sell it to collections. They do pay people in certain areas to go to the courthouse and check public records for bankruptcy and judgement. Why shouldn't you get paid too! Hmm, lets see: "Enclosed please find the documentation you requested. Please submit payment for services as itemized below within 15 days of the date of this notice. Payment accepted by cashiers check only. Copying fee: $2.50 per copy X 10 pages ..............$25.00 Travel Expense: $0.25 per mile X 20 miles ..............$ 5.00 Postage and Handling ..........$7.50 Consultation fee $125.00 per hour X 2 hours ...........$250.00 Please remit balance due of $287.50 within 15 days of the date of this letter. ---------------------------- I'd bet that will shut them up.
