Seriously unhappy here - I sent a letter December 13th... I called the other day and was told the results would be ready on the 16th.

I pull my report today and some stuff is still being investigated.

I call and they say that this stuff isn't due to come back until the 26th. I ask how that is possible, in that the other day I was told that it was due back the 16th. She said it must have been a separate correspondence for 2 separate investigations.

Well, I've got the friggin' letter sitting right here - I only sent one letter for account disputes.

Then I had sent a letter disputing some inquiries that I had no knowledge of. Was told the other day that THEY are due back the 26th and that the disputes I made in the letter are due back on the 16th.

NOW I was told that they don't HANDLE INQUIRY DISPUTES???? WTF?????

This was going soooo smoothly for the last 2 months.....I shoulda known something was gonna happen. How can they NOT handle inquiry disputes??? I've got 3 companies pulling my report and I don't even have open accounts with them anymore (closed, paid in full, no collections or anything), so I see no freakin' 'permissable purpose' for them to be fiddling with my credit info and now it will do no good to dispute it??????????????

It looks like they are trying to take advantage of a FCRA statute that states that they will have an add'l 15 days to investigate if the consumer sends add'l info to them during the 30 day dispute period. Were some of the inquiries of the same companies that you are disputing?

In any case they are in violation of FCRA and you should save all documentation proving this should you need to go to court.
