I just couldnâ??t believe my eyes. I know why my score is so low. I just pulled my Equifax and really took a close look at the dates they have listed there. I must be pretty dumb. I thought â??date reportedâ? was from the credit card companies, itâ??s not. â??Last activityâ? is from the credit card companies. No need to beat me up on this, my head is black and blue from the wall I have been banging it on. My balance to limit ratio is whacked. This is what Equifax has listed as my limits and balances and dates last reported by the company.

    BankFirst (Perfect History 46 months)
    Equifax: 8/2000 600 481 81%
    Truth: 5/2001 700 0 0%

    FCNB (Perfect History 18 months)
    Equifax: 3/2001 3200 1581 49%
    Truth: 5/2001 3200 230 7%

First Premier (Perfect History 18 months)
    Equifax: 11/2000 250 205 82%
    Truth: 5/2001 350 0 0%

Providian (Out of 36 months of history 1x30 7/99)
    Equifax: 1/2001 2362 2269 96%
    Truth: 5/2001 3362 2000 59%
(Balance from wedding deposits, cake, photographer etc.)

    Citibank (Perfect History 3 months)
    Equifax: 3/2001 3500 2688 77%
    Truth: 5/2001 3500 2100 60%

    Citibank (Perfect History 2 months)
    Equifax: 3/2001 4700 3100 66%
    Truth: 5/2001 4700 3000 64%
(If reported correctly it would have shown two payments totaling 728.87, but I had charged my insurance deducible (500) from a car accident on March 31st.)

    Equifax: 75%
    Truth: 32%
    Balance to credit limit ratio.

I am so mad at myself for letting is go on for so long I canâ??t see straight. I will be on the phone tonight calling these credit card companies. Followed up with a call to Equifax disputing every one of these â??activity datesâ?.

I know the feeling. DMB and my car loan haven't updated in a few months either. I have DMB paid way down and they show me almost maxed out. Onyx Acceptance hasn't reported to on of the CRA's since last August. My car loan is $1000 lower than what is showing on one of my reports. DMB said I'll be updated this month. I need to call Onyx and see what gives...

Isn't this inaccurate info . against the law?

I guess technically, it was accurate when reported.

From what I've seen on my reports, TU and Exp update quicker. Equifux seems to be a full 2 months behind on reporting.

Also, here's a big issue on my report. Are your accounts' "months reviewed" correct?????

I have an account that's 87 mos old showing 12 mos old. I have 5 other accounts all over 5 years old all showing 3,4,5 mos old.

MY dates opened and closed/ currently reporting are correct... but when a creditor reviews my reports I don't even look like I have 24 mos of credit. Ridiculous!!!

After the ratio issue on my Fico score, I also got hit w/ length of time on my accounts. ALL ERRORS from Equifax or Cap1 reporting b/s.

I'm in process of compiling stuff... disputing and I'll sue in 2 mos or so. I was told the dates would have to be "disputed" and if the creditor didn't respond, I'd lose the good credit lines completely. TOTAL b/s. I truly believe the CRAs purposefully conspire to keep marginal scores lower.
