I tell ya....I am just plain scared that these folks are the gate keepers of my personal information.

I placed a dispute to have my House Hold card, credit limit checked as it was not reporting correctly. So HH did not respond and Equifax just deleted a perfectly good tradeline. I don't know why I was shocked. Anyway, the rep said they have to decide since there was no response to update it or delete it which ever is in my best interest. So not that I am busy enough I have a new string of phone calls to make. Normally, so far deletion has been my goal, but not for my oldest tradeline in good standing. Can they do this?

They delete the good ones, even if you just want the balance updated, and verify the bad ones, even if they are not yours. :D

In my case, the CRAs are reporting an account in bankruptcy (we haven't filed BK - yet) and the CA verified it as in bankruptcy (according to the EQ, the CA verified 3 days after i disputed), so they refuse to remove it. They refuse to check the bankruptcy court records since the court didn't put it on. Bottom line - whatever the CA says is accepted as the truth and we're all liars.

I need just a couple of more violations on the CA and I'll have more than enough to cover what they are trying to collect...

Can the CRA delete a active tradeline that was disputed and just updated several days before electronically (monthly). I don't understand why they would delete an active tradeline over a balance dispute. I didn't ask them to delete. They said it was due to no response. Anyone know why the delete would be appropriate for them???
