I am forced to call CSC in Houston, TX for Equifax at 1-800-759-5979. I call and it states that due to high call volume they are unable to provide phone suppost. I must mail or fax in my dispute and they take 30 days and I will be mailed my results.

I am calling because they deleted an account on 8/7 and reinserted account on 9/3 and never sent me notice.

    Any other phone numbers??

Thank you for replying...Equifax lines will NOT help me as they say they cant work with my file since CSC is managing my file.

I tried the 1-800-685-1111 number and that is what I was told.

You can call (281) 878-4840, but don't. You will just be routed to the same call system, this time on your dime.

I have found that typically you must call several times before you get through. Also, wait on the line until they actually disconnect you. On more than a few occasions a rep has picked up the line in the middle of the recording telling you to call back later.

I would definately suggest filing a complaint with both the FTC and the Houston BBB. I doubt it will do much good, but if enough people complain there is likely to be some action taken.

Remember that the 3 bureaus were sued by the FTC for not having phone support available. I would definitely try to complain with them.
