I am aware that an Equifax PRM is a softy inquiry. However, I am someone that has "opted-out" for life via the 800 number.

How can one even have PRMs after having opted-out? Is this a violation of the "opt-out" statute?

I think it has a 90 days out deal...

    I PERSONALLY wouldn't "OPT-OUT" for $100.00 CASH!!! (BUT THAT'S ME)...

    ...CAN I HAVE ALL YOUR PRM'S??? $1.00 EACH...(EQUIFAX ONLY)

A reason for opt-out is to deprive the CRAs of whatever revenue that they earn from all those companies pulling credit reports on us to solicit credit and insurance offers. Why should they be allowed to exploit our information for a profit?
Cra's are big business. They use our financial data to earn big bucks.

Take this away from them and opt out.

"PRE-APPROVED" many times are BETTER rates than "OFF THE STREET" applications...

My understanding is that if you return the FORM that the Opt-Out line sends you, then you've opted out for life. Over the phone w/o returning the form is 2 years of opting-out. If I remember correctly, they give you a choice when you call and if you select permanent opt-out, they mail you a form. I have also been told by EQ that once an organization receives your info, they have a year to pull the PRM report. I don't know how true that is. Heck, I can't even tell if my opt-out went through for TU and EXP since they don't show it on the rpt and the reps won't reveal whether it's there or not.
