Ok, After bashing Equifax for their terrible deletion rate, I just got an updated copy of my report in the mail. In it were 4 disputes. 2 were deleted, 2 were verified. I finally got that stupid Sears account (paid in full, settled for less than full balance) removed from my report. I also got a collection deleted. Two collections (paid) were verified. Guess I have to keep plugging on them.
Nice job with Equifax!!!! They are my worst report yet, can't stand them. I have had some success with them but not enough........ I have a paid collection with them as well, impossible to deal with. Keep up the good work. Matt bad credit..............but not that bad
Cool Erica! Equifax is my best report. I have to collections that are supposed to be deleted and they are lagging. I'm waiting for results of my last dispute.
I have been beating them over the head with a baseball bat, and they still don't want to delete the duplicate collection from my report. EVERYTHING appears on the report the same exact way. The only thing that is different is the balance and last updated. The one that was updated in July has a lower balance than the one updated in August. That is the only difference. I think that this is what caused me to lose my charging privileges with The Bon Ton. I guess I have to work harder! PS, Thanks for all of your support!
Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I did, however, start an online dispute today. I will let you know when I get the results. Looking at my last report, Sept 4, 2001, and the date on the report I got today, Sept 12, 2001, looks like they did their job pretty quickly, but I can't be sure.
Cool Erica. Equifax is my best report. But ironically, almost noby in my area pulls it. Wouldn't ya just know it!
Erica, I had a dup on an account which also showed differing dates on each of the three bureaus. In exchange for their negligence, I demanded and was granted removal of lates for that account. Go after the creditor with a hammer. I was faxing them every few days for weeks. Each fax included a copy of all previous faxes (he, he) until by the end they were getting 20 pages! I detailed all the potential damage they would be liable for as the dup apparently had been on my file on one Credit Bureau for years so I used the fact that all accounts I currently owned had most likely given me less favorable terms because of their error and negligence, especially my mortgage. I also told them that I had a financial investigator who was auditing damages and that his fee would be included in the damages along with attorney fees. Duplicates are bad news --- don't stop pursueing it and most of all, don't allow them to simply delete the dup. Their mistake cost you and reparation should be that all negs for that account be removed. Good luck. Mist
Way to go Erica! I knew things would start to improve. Keep on chugging...get right back online and dispute dispute dispute. Use that baseball bat! Im happy for you! -Peace, Dave
Great work!! My report doesnt have anything bad at all right now..Judgements and Bk free..What is killing me is these 15 inquires in the past 6 months..How do i go about getting those deleted..Last week i investigated like 8 of them but nothing has changed..The longer they take the better maybe?
