Just called and the very nice rep (and NO on hold time!) told me the results of my dispute: FirstUSA 9/99 Settlement/lots of lates:GONE APS (utility paid CO): stayed Quantum Collections (paid): stayed GTE/collection co (paid): GONE So, I'm very happy--since First USA was my most recent negative, I think this will really help my score. As soon as I get my updated report, I'll dispute again. I'm gonna go after some late pays I guess since that is about all my "big" negatives unless you think I can dispute the APS and Quantum accounts again in Round 2? I am quite pleased--thank you all!
Lizardking I did pay off the APS and Quantum just to get it cleared (it was a small amount)--I have yet to *see* any proof that I owe it--what I'm thinking is to request vaildation (signature on a contract, etc) that it is a valid reporting (that I'm responsible)and also dispute it at the same time. What do you think?
