Received my Equifax report back after dispute round 2!! I disputed 4 accounts... 1 Deleted There were 3 Gulfstate/OSI..etc etc.. Disputed... (same c/o) Down to 1 listed now... I guess this is some minor success... was hoping for more major of a change..
I totally disagree with the comment that CRA disputes get nowhere. I've gone from the high 400's on all 3 CRA to low 600's on two of them (PHEAA reporting dupes of student loans to EFX) in less than a year. 95% of my deletions came via CRA disputes. I agree with LK though - disputing with creditors is definitely effective in certain cases. I'm not sure where this person got this info or if it is just an opinion but it certainly isn't accurate.
I second that Motion... Its very effective and has been for me lately. If you time them righ like Lizardking outlined you can get them caught up(CA) and by fear get them deleted by the CRA.
