I just checked my hubbies score, and it's FINALLY in the 500's. We do have one derog in dispute. I can't remember if EQ is one of the CRA's that deletes that TL from the score until it's verified. I would assume it does, because it's not even showing the lates, and it's 14times 90+ days late. I can't wait to see what it drops down to, once the TL is verified. His report is going to take A LONG time to hit the 600's I'm afraid. My goal is 625 by next summer!!

I have a collection in dispute right now, which has been noted on my Eq CR and my score has remained unchanged.

I also had another collection deleted about a month ago and my score did not change after the deletion. Both collections are from early 1996 (so they are really old).

I don't think my dispute is effecting my score; however, since the collection is old it may not have an impact on my score anyway (since the last collection deletion did not effect my score).

But my #1 negative reason is that I have a collection on record. So it may be effecting it? I hope this makes sense??

I have collections on my report and I am hoping that once they come off and I mean all of them, that I will see a major jump. I have seven, and I know there are 6 that will come off (they cannot validate) the other I am trying to neg. pay for deletion. No luck yet

Well, I'm thinking that the score I see right now is the score that I'll see if this gets deleted. I wasn't able to check his score before this was placed in dispute, but I think that it must've been lower. When they place it in dispute, they take it right out of the picture--so the score is increased as if it's not there. That's why you don't see an increase after deletion. That's not based on fact however, just from what I've read here, and what's going on w/ it now!!
