...hardly any of my information came up on the equifax report so I called and they said they showed a different birth date on the file and I have to send them a copy of DL and SS card with a letter to get it corrected. None of them see to have any idea why they are so much lower than experian which actually seems to have a more complete and comprehensive information chain on it. I used freecreditreport.com to pull my reports and scores on all three, the scores vary hugely, 718 on experian to a low of 598 on transunion...weird. Where should I go to get an apples to apples score, do I need to pay to get a FICO score?
The freecreditreport score is a Plus score which very few lenders use. I think DSNB (Macy's) is it. You need a FICO score in order to gauge where your at.
. Was the SS # that was on your Equifax report the correct one? You also have to remember that not all creditors report to all three agencies. My car loan that I obtained in July is only listed on Experian, but not on Transuion or Equifax. Also found other accounts which are on two reports only, but not all three.
