Equifax is reporting both my OC-Verzon, and the CA-Midland on my report, can they do that? Also it looks like Midland is reporting this as an open account and not a charge off, and reaging the account. I haven't paid a dime since 2002 and they show last payment in 07. I want to dispute the account since it is only being reported on Equifax and it is causing a 50 point dip in my Fico! I am a newbie so please forgive me if this seems like a stupid question, I just want to get this off my report. Yes... You allegedly have an account with the OC, and you allegedly have an account with the CA. Now, if the CA sells the account to someone else, then you no longer have an account with THAT CA, then they have to remove the account.
