I called the check the status of my investigations that are due Friday. I was told I have to call 770-375-3114 because consumer affairs is handling my credit file now and a regular rep can't help me. Is this due to sending an intent to sue letter or because of email Bob Cutrone? I am confused..Should I call or not?

I would not call, but that's just me. I get too nervous and emotional.

    ~~Doing the happy dance~~

My file was turned over to Consumer Affair's because I had problems and complained about the local affiliate AND because I sent the intent to sue letter. My results that were due 1-11-02 are done and a new report is in the mail to me. The girl did say that 7 items were deleted and the out of the other 2 pending investigations there are already 3 deletions for sure. They aren't due until 1-22-02 & 1-28-02. I'm SOOOOOOO glad I raised hell now. I hope Mr. Bob Cutrone deleted my inquiries as well. I have 13 and disputed 9 of them, which would leave me 4 in 2 yrs. Equifax should be climbing up the ladder now.

Good job Christi! And the real joy will be when you have the pages in your hand! What did you say in your intent to sue letter? Do you mind posting it?

How did you get the address to send all of this to Equifax? I'm having trouble getting the correct address from TU! They are giving me the run around and telling me that If I'm asking for procedure then I need to send it to the Fraud Assistance address that I have on my CR. Is this true or should I try to get it to someone else? If so... how in the Hell am I going to get the address? Do you.....or anyone here know where I should send this?

I forgot to ask if you ever asked for a procedural description before sending your letter to Equifax?

    Thanks

Long story..but I have been fighting the local affiliate since March 2001. They have sent me letters and even called me at work and flat out told me "we refuse to investigate because we think you are trying to repair your credit". Luckily on 12-28-01 I logged onto Equifax and pulled a report and they had my address as New York, NY 10101, same post office as mine only I live in Texas. So I took advantage and began to do online disputes. In the meantime I had enough and faxed (to 3 numbers) sent CRR to Equifax and Bob Cutrone, VP @ Equifax and emailed him & Robin Holland my intent to sue. I then did the same thing with my inquiry dispute letter. I have been trying to check the dispute status and kept getting NOTHING, so today the rep says there are notes that Consumer Affairs is handling your file. The lady today told me my file would be handled directly by them until I was happy, which would be what?

I might get my chance to meet her myself :) However, I doubt she is coming to Texas..where do you live? I can't believe she showed up for court.
