Well it took them 14 days from the original "rush" but the original "rush" they had the wrong phone numbers for BOTH creditors and ended up verifying the same old bogus way, instead of calling the contact person *I* provided for them.
However I put in ANOTHER 14 day rush again today regarding those 2 accounts and I also faxed them the verification I have from the creditors.
Just thought I would update you to tell you the 14 day rush is indeed 14 days.
What if we all call around Dec 14th and ask for a rush, saying something like "I'm buying a house" or what have you.

So let me get this straight...
It's a 14 day rush to lie and verify incorrect information.

Sounds like a bargain, how much do they charge for the expedited service :)) LOL

I was mean to the rep but nice. I said "I have disputed this account time and time again. I am trying to buy a house and I have a contact number for Joe Shmoe. He said to call him and he will update this asap." I stressed time and time again, I am trying to buy a house, and this stupid stuff was delaying the process. The EQU lady was actually pretty nice and said she can put a 14 day rush on it. She said instead of it taking the normal 30 days, they now have 14 days to respond. I told her this was perfect cause I am VERY impatient. It might have something to do with I had letters and names of people from the creditors I was disputing. I was doing EQU's job FOR THEM! I did all their leg work, basically all that was left for them was to verify that *I* did THEIR job right.
I have only heard of this with EQU. Give it a shot it can't hurt.
BTW I always dispute over the phone, and right off the bat *I* tell THEM *I* am recording their call, I stopped sending CRRR (getting to expensive) now I have fax numbers and names and I save the transmission sheet.

RUSH? NOPE! It's an extension! It's not 15 days, its 30 + 15 days. It's an extension of your first investigation, not a new investigation in which they have 15 days.
