Crap One (sub-prime) will probably approve 200-300 credit line with an annual fee of $50 for a starter account. Thats what I started with three years ago, before finally hitting the prime companies. Or perhaps sign up for a secured card with Bank of America, Washington Mutual, or another company. Secured cards report as "secured," but after 12-18 months depending upon credit history (score and payment history) that account can be converted to an unsecured card. Also, many cneter's have stated that opening a secured account at your local bank gets your acct reporting to all three bureaus. But an any case, make sure whatever you do, the company you get credit with reports to at least one bureau, if not all three.
