Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: estoppel & CA

Please forgive the impertinence of this noob, but in the interest of putting things in perspective, consider:

The Empowered Credit Consumer (ECC) hates the CRA's because CRA's depend on the ignorance of their prey (oops, is my bias showing?) to lead the prey into traps, at which time the CRA's feel justified in punishing the prey for their stupidity/ignorance.

The CRA's hate the ECC's because the ECC's depend on the ignorance (charitably described) of the CRA's to lead them (CRA's) into traps, at which time the ECC's feel justified in punishing the CRA's for their stupidity/ignorance.

Apparently, the same tactics are used by both parties, no? WRONG! The difference here is that the CRA's are obligated by law to follow the rules of law, and in the ideal world are morally obligated to follow the spirit of the law (this applies to ECC's as well). From my lurking, it seems clear that the majority of CRA's depend on ignorance to enable illegal activity, while the majority of the ECC's operate within the rule and spirit of the law. Also, I have to say that I find it nectar and ambrosia sweet that "amateur" ECC's can routinely trounce CRA "professionals" in the latter's very own neighborhood playground. This is one aspect of the great truth of the human condition: that perseverence and purpose in a just cause can overcome all obstacles -- it's just a matter of time.

llbrown et. al have my unabashed admiration for their efforts, which reflect some of the best traits of the human condition. All I can say for the CRA trolls who sow confusion, is Matthew 18:3-7 "Except as ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. . . . But whoso shall offend one of these . . . it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences . . . woe to that man by whom the offence cometh"

Don't get me wrong-- I'm as secular as the next guy, just relatively well read. What I understand from the above passage is that those who seek to take advantage or do harm to others have the best chance of achieving their goals when they can create confusion or mislead their intended victims, and that these tactics should rightly be considered reprehensible by any standard.

Keep up the good work, people. Sorry once again for this unsolicited soapbox rant.

That's BS! It would be better off for you to say, "I'm just kidding. I don't even have a boyfriend".

    You're right fun.

Liars like KK will always try to skirt around a subject that they're lying about.

Also, I believe there would have been some kind of coverage if a settlement like she made up really transpired.

I know what I would do with the estoppel letter if I ever got one.

I'd immediately turn the account over to my attorney and the estoppel letter with it and tell him to be sure to include it in evidence before the court and let the judge laugh his a$$ off.
1*That would be the best evidence ever that you tried to defraud your creditor.
2*I'd also have the full proof of the debt there in front of the court and that way you couldn't say you never got validation.

1*How would it be defrauding your creditor?
2*How does that prove you gave it to the consumer?

how did that come about KK = BB ?

what kind of twisted postings did that accomplish he was bashing himself?

one might think someone has a split personality disorder .

was the posting deleted off CN when he/she was banned?

Re: Re: Re: estoppel & CA

That was the pure brilliance of it, since KK was seen by some as a 'troll' bashing BB would actually be a + if you think about it... :)

Plus, while there were posts bashing BB, there were other posts recommending him, so who knows what the mental process was... :)

Plus there were punctuated links to BB's other sites, which were classic BB (the original) post give-aways, those links were deleted, so if you try to see the evidence now, you won't be able to see it. :)
