Hi, Have anyone ever hired a lawyer to fix up their credit report? And what are your results? Does anyone out there recommend a good hire gun? Thanks! Eric
I don't see the point in hiring a lawyer for simple disputes and validation attempts. You have all you need here for free. I think it would be a waste of money.
well, I don't have that kind of money to burn. Plus i like the satisfaction of doing myself. Validation, disputing, repairing and rebuilding is a very labor intensive process. monitoring reports (weekly, sometimes daily) analyzing past reports for discrepencies..... i am sorry, I think this screams do it yourself, including small claim lawsuits against cra's and ca...
I completely agree with Uniondiva, as funny and weird as it may sound I love the challenge, and its the satisfaction of completion, besides I have nothing better to do )
I'm gonna' go out on a limb and suggest that if you had money to do it, you could leverage your possession of a competent lawyer's skills and the sheer laziness of the credit bureaus, and many collection agencies, and fix nearly everything on your report. Have the lawyer ask for a stay against a creditor or CA, enjoining them to *not* report information on you. Rather than them replying, I'm imagining you'd get your way.
I have these defaulted student loans that i am about to give up on. It has been consolidated but it's being reported as "Paid - Chargeoff/Collection Account". I figure maybe hirng a lawyer can get me out of this ASAP. Anyone have any success with a lawyer cleaning up his credit report?
