just curious if signing up for a citibank checking acct online is safe and easy? anything I should be aware of? I found a promo for 150.00$ for opening a checking acct with 1500$, that is enough cash to make it easier for me to switch from BofA to citi. Do I need to worry about my truck loan if I close my accts through BofA since my truck loan is through them too? Like jacking the rate on my loan? or can they even do that?
I did the same promo and Citi is great. If you don't live where there are Citi branches, they'll also you 5 free ATM transactions per month and rebate what other banks charge. Free online bill pay and they have a very cool account aggregation service so you can see all of your account (credit, insurance, etc.) all on one page. I switched from Bank One and never looked back. Well worth it.
how long did it take before you could access the money in your account? any problems with their verification process?
