I applied for an EverBank credit a week ago and received the following letter back from them: ------------ August 9, 2004 xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx RE: EverBank online Platinum Credit Card Application Dear Mr. xxxxxxx As noted in your decline letter, our Visa Platinum account is now a relationship card, which means you must maintain a deposit account with EverBank or our World Markets division. This was the reason your application was denied. We can not comment or stipulate whether we would open a Visa Platinum credit card account for you if you open a relationship account. A decision would be rendered upon completion of the deposit account review process, to include obtaining a credit report. Sincerely, Tim Manning Risk Analyst ------------ So if you're an EverBank customer, can you tell me how tough/stringent their credit criteria is? At 9.9% or 14.9% and no annual fee, this is a very desirable credit card to have. I'd love to join but even if I open up an account, I have no guarantee of them opening an account. If you are an EverBank customer and particuarly know if they decline past bankruptcy filers or dislike anyone below a certain score, please note that in your response. Thank you! ps-I search the entire everbank history and found many posts for 2002 & 2000, but only a few more recent. EverBank's terms are due for an update.
